Pencil Case

I came across a nice tutorial for a pencil case and decided I wanted one or two. My favorite picture of the pencil case was this one.

I pulled out some scrap material and wiped up this which I then gave to my mother for her birthday. She is currently using it to hold her new itouch.

This is what the inside looks like.

A while a go when I asked my mother what she would like for her birthday she asked for this runner doily to make a matching set; one for her night stand and the other for my dad’s night stand. Then she gave me a sly look and said she also wanted a matching doily to go on top of her dresser which I did not expect. Well I made the matching doily for my dad’s night stand but was to busy to make the dresser doily.

I have been trying to use up the last bits of white thread on multiple balls of thread. So I decided to make up a bunch of the motifs that could be used to create the dresser doily. So far I have 13 motifs I need 120 motifs to make this massive doily/table cloth. You can see why I put it off right? (This is a pattern made by Jacqui Cunningham called Square Motif for Doily or Runner I can no longer find the pattern for this online)

I am moving to Georgia for Grad school and here is an exterior of my new apartment.

I am still shocked to see so much green that does not need sprinklers or drip lines to keep it alive.

Since we are from the desert we are mesmerized to see so much water in one place, that has not already evaporated. Just kidding this is a moat that my little brother is fascinated with.

We never see little frogs jumping around in Arizona I quickly grabbed them an stuck them in my little brother’s hand to get a picture of them.
